I'll second that -   What are you looking at that I can't see??

101 is a decent age isn't it!!

Don't suppose you can see a marriage for John Heaton Cooper and Ethel Mary Beart  can you -

(Dem uvvers don't seem to be able to!)   ;) ;) :P

It is possible they didn't have time to be married, what with the divorce in 1904 and her dying in 1906.

OK, don't take offence - you are all stars!  Medals all round!!   ;D ;D

I've been looking up electoral rolls until 1980 and it doesn't look as if Thomas and Dorothy North had any children.   Not showing on the rolls anyhow!

Trove isn't throwing up any births either - but you know how limited my access to  births records is!

That is truly amazing.  Thank you for the answers.  I can't believe Dorothy was 101.  Wonder if she knew about her mother and other brothers.  Hoping she had a happy life!

I just found  an inconsistency.  Baby Alec Graeme Beart died in Dec 1896 in Launceston Tas. but the newspaper article reporting on the divorce case says that Ethel was in WA when notified that her baby died and returned to Melb for an operation in Oct 1897, paying for all funeral expenses etc of her baby, then returned to Qld in Nov 1897.  So, did the paper get the years wrong and the months or did the bdm records?

probably took until 1897 to get the news in WA - and then to get back to Melbourne.   :-\   Also you can pay for expenses after the event.

 - And didn't the newspaper say Arthur didn't want her to come back for the funeral -   I thought I read that as part of the court case.   I'd better read it again.    :-\ :-\

And they wouldn't have waited to bury the child until Mum arrived back . . . .

I reckon it stacks up    :-\
