Badge Identication
« on: Thursday 28 February 13 11:39 GMT (UK) »
This photograph shows my grandfather, Ernest Wills 1888-1963. He joined the Royal Navy in 1916 and finally left in 1945. He was a cook. Can anyone identify the badge just above his cuff? My father thinks it is related to Ernest serving on minesweepers. The photograph was taken towards the end of 1919. I filed this under "Beginners" and it was suggested it would be better placed under"Armed Forces". Thank you.

Webb Hampshire & South Berkshire

I have replied on the other post in beginners but I am convinced now that this was a " mine clearance service badge"  :)
