I can see lots of marriages for Gertrude Wards in a likely timeframe - some with middle initial M, but none in Wiltshire. Of course she may not have married in Wiltshire if she married.  :-\

Hi Ruskie,

I suspect we can only trace collateral lines if we can find any. No obvious ones jump out from FreeBMD. Perhaps someone has access.

Good catch Sami,

Was this in 1901 only I think I found them in 1911 in Birkenhead and they didn't seem to have children. Could just be the tricks I use for searching the 1911 for free though.

Hi Paul

Yes it was 1901 for the family. Here is Florence:

The girls can be found on familysearch.org 10 years later going to school in Staffordshire. I don't know where Herbert is though.

Hi again, still no sign of the 2 Gertrude's, but this looks to be the departure of Arthur Stanley Ward in 1924

Arthur Stanley Ward aged 59 occ Minister of Religion, departed Plymouth for Basse Terre on the 1st April 1924 on the Pellerin De Latouche, Shipping Line Compagnie General Transatlantique, his address in the UK was 50, Berkeley Road, Crouch End, London N8 and he was planning to return to the UK after this trip.

No mention of marital status, but possibly a check of the Electoral Rolls for Hornsey/Crouch End may indicate if Gertrude J or Gertrude M were with him c 1924?

Hi Paul,

I've gathered a bit more information:

Eva M Warwick died 1968 as Warwick - age 94;

Mary E Warwick died 1940 as Warwick - age 84;

I think this is John born in in 1863 - John A Warwick married Caroline Drusillia Pumfery 1887;

John and Caroline had Dusilla Mary in 1889, Gerturde Ethel in 1891, Dorothy Gwendollen in 1891, and Elizabeth Shorley in 1896;

John and Caroline had at least 3 children after 1901- Phyllis Marjory in 1902, John Francis in 1905, and Margaret Jean in 1908 found on familysearch.org.

John A Warwick died 1933 - age 70

Elizabeth Hole Warwick died 1904 - age 72;
England:  Archer, Bailey, Bates, Blower, Bosworth, Court, Hicklin, Orton, Palmer, Robbins, Sedgwick, Smith, Stevenson, Stone, Varnam, Wakelin, Walker
Canada:  Archer, Walker, Spencer, Shepherd
Australia:  Taplin
South Africa:  Risley
