GERMANY-USA: Haedicke/Brautigam

I am having trouble finding an Adolph(us) August Haedicke-immigrated here in 1839
Born 1 July 1810 Died 10 Feb 1887 in Prussia Germany
He landed in New York stayed for about 6 months, then to Baton Rouge, LA staying 3 yrs then settling permanently in Worth Twp, Woodford County, Illinois.

He married in 1840 to Hanna Sophia Brautigam/Brantigam

I am also having trouble locating her on any list
she....Immigrated in in 1833
 was born 26 Feb 1824 in Prussia Germany or Muhlhausen a/R (Middle), Germany as it states on some records........whats the difference.
died 29 Mar 1910
