Looking for Esther Wood

I am looking for Esther Wood daughter of William Wood and Sarah Christmas.

William and Sarah were married Lydd Parish Church 7 December 1803.
Son Richard was baptised Lydd Parish Church 6 May 1804
William died 14 September 1809 aged 32 (MI Lydd Parish Churchyard)

I cannot find Esther in parish records (FindMyPast), but she is mentioned as their daughter on the MI (no date)

Can anyone help?

It looks like Esther Wood Christmas on the marriage reg married James brackenbury -and possibly she is "your" Esther

This is interesting.

MI reads:
William Wood of H.M. Ship "Culloden" d. 14 Sept 1809 aged 32.  Sarah his wife 25 July 1852 aged 74.  Leaving surviving one dau: and one son - Esther and Richard.

William and Sarah were definitely married, so unless Esther was born pre marriage date her surname would not have been Christmas ( or is she Hester Christman?).
It doesn't look as if Sarah remarried, so if she had a child after William's demise the child would still have been Wood.
Also interesting the daughter is mentioned first on the MI.

There is a very interesting entry in the MIs.  Same section as William and Sarah Wood.

By the S.E. Gate:
Lanes Brackenbury d 22 January 1862 aged 83.  Elizabeth his first wife 20 July 1831 aged 57.  Esther his 2nd wife 23 October 1883 aged 83.

Looks like this is Esther (Wood/Christmas).  Don't know if Lanes is a mistranscription of James.

This ties in with the 1861 census.

It would appear that Esther was born c1800, prior to Sarah's marriage to William and would therefore be Esther Christmas.

It seems Esther would be the illegitimate daughter of Sarah Christmas- no father is mentioned in the baptism - most probably her father was William Wood -as she was given Wood as a middle name - but she was born before William & Sarah married.
If you have her marriage cert it would be interesting to see if father wasleft blank or entered as William Wood

The Romney Marsh Baptisms Index has transcribed Hester's surname as CHRISTMAS.
