Bells of Teer Fermanagh
« on: Monday 06 June 05 13:35 BST (UK) »
Hello

I am looking for information on the Bell family from Teer townland in Fermanagh.

I have Samuel Bell born about 1837, son of William Bell and Martha Clark.  Samuel m.  Mary Jane Hall May 11 1876 at 2nd Presbyterian Church, Drum in Currin Parish Co Monaghan and is listed on the certificate as being born in Teer, Parish of Drum, Co Fermanagh.

The Griffiths Valuation lists a Martha Bell and an Abraham Bell in Teer.  Does anyone have infromation on this family and whether as I suspect, Abraham is a brother of Samuel.

Thanks
KESTON.

Hello Keston,

PRONI have microfilmed records for both the Drum First Presbyterian and Drum Second Presbyterian Churches in Co. Monaghan. Maybe some kind soul will look at these records for you when next visiting PRONI The microfilm references are easy to remember 201 and 202. www.proni.gov.uk/records/private/presindx.htm

The townland of Teer in Co. Fermanagh is an area of 89 acres. It is in the Barony of Clankelly, Parish of Drummully and PLU of Clones. There is also a 64 acre townland of Teer in Co. Monaghan which is in the Barony of Dartree, Parish of Killeevan and PLU of Clones http://www.thecore.com/seanruad
