Hi

There are a few trees that appear to substantiate your info, though I would certainly double check. I
don't fully understand why the baptism should take place in Herefordshire, but this appears to be the one they are using:
England & Wales Christening Records, 1530-1906
Name:   James Smith
Gender:   Male
Christening Date:   26 Aug 1759
Christening Place:   Mordiford, Herefordshire, England
Father's Name:   John Smith
Mother's name:   Mary

A number of them also appear to have his parents as John Smith = Mary Glarris, m. Germany.

Hi again

Sorry, I should have also said, they have the birth as Adderbury 1858.

Thankyou for all this information. I am not sure about those trees as I think sometimes people find something that fits fairly closely and then that is accepted. I would like you wonder why not have baptism in Adderbury

Thanks

Jennifer

Hi

I would totally agree, hence my caution at double checking, one consolation is that it is one less to consider..
