Baptism Jane Edwards 1823- 1825 Southwark, father Samuel Edwards

I am hoping to have information on the baptism of Jane Edwards b 1823- 1825 Southwark. her father listed on her marriage as Samuel Edwards. I do not know her mothers name or the details of any other siblings.

what occupation was given fo her father on the marriage cert? Names of witnesses, husband? Addresses? Date of marriage?

There are a couple of Samuel Edwards christening children in this kind of timeframe.

One is a licenced victualler, wife Jane, living in Greenwich and christening children at Deptford St Nicholas.

The other is a cabinet maker who is christening children in Southwark St Saviour. Mother of one child chr in 1816 is Ann, and mother of another chr in 1823 is Jane. Father Samuel in both cases is a cabinet maker. Unfortunately I can't see a daughter Jane though.

Not much use , but I thought I would mention them as dates and places and names seem to fit. I will be interested to find out father Samuel's occupation.

Hi,

There is a marriage for a Jane Edwards to a Samuel Tickell on 13.07.1845 at Stepney St Dunstan and All Saints, Tower Hamlets.

Father was Samuel Edwards, cabinet maker
Witnesses were William Tickell & Louisa Edwards.

Just have to wait and see if all this ties in.

 this is the correct Jane Edwards she did marry Samuel Tickell . so father Samuel Edwards cabinet maker. I just cannot find him in 1841 or her .
I did locate a Jane Edwards aged 36 occupation cabinet maker she had a Louisa aged 10 and Samuel aged 15 and a Mary aged 13 I wonder is this the family??

Hi Ruskie I think the Samuel edwards cabinet maker is the right one. Perhaps his first wife died??
