Mitchell Patrick, New Kilpatrick Bearsden Station

Can anyone help me find the grave of Patrick Mitchell who's death cert says he died on the South platform of  Bearsden Station New Kilpatrick on  15 June 1908.(very specific)

He is not buried with his wife Bridget in  Glasgow.  Can anyone direct me to a local newspaper report that may have been made on this unusual death  He was born in Ireland in 1841 and worked for the gas board.

Any help would be much appreciated.

From one of the previous posts, his cause of death given as:
Died of a cerebral embolism                                                                         
on the south platform                                                                                               
of Bearsden Station
New Kilpatrick
County of Dumbarton

Yes as I said in a previous post it was given  on thedeath cert. as a cerebal embolism.   Whether he  got that from falling or whether it was a medical condition.  His age was given as 48 , it doesn't say how it was caused.   But there must have been an inquest or something!! does anyone know how to find out

Was there a note next to his death cert entry on the left hand side? This would indicate there was additional info relating to the death on the Register of Corrected Entries (RCEs). If not, then there is not likely to be any further info than what you have from his death cert.

This article states that Mr Patrick was hurrying to the platform when he fell.
His death in this article was reported as an apoplectic seizure, but as the DC says cerebral embolism, it suggests that this was a sudden death.
I suspect that he fell as a result of the embolism, rather than the embolism being caused by the fall

Thanks Annep for that link to the Glasgow Herald.  But I still cannot find where he is buried.  I am emailing the local newspapers to see if they have any further info in their archives and would like to check the Mitchell library  burial records, but for that I need a burial date, which might have been delayed if there was an Inquest   Anyone know where I can get information about Inquests for that area in 1908

As mentioned earlier, was there a reference in the margin of his death entry to the Register of Corrected Entries (RCEs)?

If not, then there is likely not to have been any further investigation into his death.
