Welcome any info on Elizabeth Foster (nee Kirkland ) born Swannington(or Whitwick) to
Capt Nicholas Smith Kirkland of 27th Foot (Enniskillens)/ Grace Beavington  bapt 31 Aug 1817 Whitwick. Married William Thomas Foster of Royal Navy on 9 Sept 1845 in Ashby de la Zouch area.

Can find no information on Elizabeth and William after this marriage. Possible death of Elizabeth
Loughborough Oct 1893 but not certain same lady. Large international community of Capt NSK descendants grateful for any info or help - are you their descendant ?

I was always sceptical about the death , that's from my Aussie cousin who sees Leicestershire as
very small ! We only really have family links to Ashby,Measham,Appleby,Leicester for 200 years - no idea of which village near Loughborough should it be her. I think if we can find where she went after
WTFs death we'll eventually identify her death.But tried last night using your Strood/Chatham info and didn't find anything yet ( but with WTF dead why stay around navy base ? )
