Halliday/Crawford
« on: Saturday 16 March 13 22:39 GMT (UK) »
Robert Halliday married Isabelle Crawford about 1875 in Largs - can anyone tell me more?

They had 12 children, as far as I know, all, born in Largs.  Any information regarding these children would be appreciated.

Thank you.

You haven't included any details of their names or birthyears.

Here's one found on Family Search

Yes, thank's for your prompt reply.  Jemima b.1881 is the only child with a 'record'.  The other children only appear on the census.  They are - Jessie abt.1877, Jane abt.1878, Isa abt.1880, Elizabeth abt.1885, Mary abt.1887, Kate abt.1889, Adam abt.1891, Janet abt.1892, Margaret abt.1894, Walter abt.1897 and Josephine abt.1900.  There may be more but I have only seen up to the 1901 census.

Are you looking for details of their marriages/deaths etc?

If so - you would need to use Scotlands People to get that info

To find out if there were any children born after 1901 - you would again need to use SP to find the family on the 1911 census

I notice from the 1901 that a number of the older children were born in Wemyss Bay Renfrewshire - not Largs
