Did you find who Frank Mann & Josephine may have been visiting in Darley Dale ?

Never found the couple returning to the USA. Interestingly there was a death record for a Josephine Mann - 53 years  - Bakewell - Q4 December 1930 - 7b 840.

Darley Dale & Bakewell  Derbyshire - 5.7 miles apart ???

Frank visits Darley Dale a few times so I thought it was work. I haven't actually found a return for them after the trip to Darley Dale in Feb 1923.

Now I know why you have so many stars. There was a newspaper announcement of her death. I have added it my tree as I cannot cut and paste.
Thank you so much for finding the death. Now where did Frank go after that?

I've found a marriage for a Frank Mann and Jessie Barker 1933 at St Helen's, Darley Dale. There is also a death in Bakewell for a Jessie Mann in 1986 born 1911 so a bit younger it it is him.

I think I have sorted out a little more of Elizabeth Lord and her family. The family are in Farnworth in 1881 and then Alfred died in 1888. I cannot find Elizabeth or Mary in the 1891 census but there is an Elizabeth Ann Loard aged 18 with aunt Sarah Ann Loman (should be Lomax and formerly Lord) and grandmother Jane Loard. Jane is then with her daughter Elizabeth Lord (Seddon) in the 1901 census. Jane dies in June 1903 and Elizabeth travels to New York in Sept 1903. Although the ship manifest states her son is Alfred I think it was Giles/Charles. Elizabeth Ann seems to go back and forward and in 1906 travels with a Lily Lord who may be one of her cousins. I haven't found her or Thomas Mann on the 1910 census.  In 1910 for Elizabeth Lord I don't think the Thomas Lord is the son of William but one of her other brothers as William's son, Thomas, is with him in 1910 US census. In the 1920 US census mother Elizabeth is again with her daughter Mary (married name Jones), grand-daughter, Blanche Seddon (daughter of Giles/Charles) and a boarder. Mary married John Jones in 1896 in Bolton with Elizabeth Ann (future wife of Thomas Mann) as one of the witnesses. Perhaps the 1910 census was just a mistake. Mary must have married William Booth between the 1920 and 1930 censuses. No sign yet of Elizabeth Lord on the 1930 census. 1940 census as we know with Mary, Elizabeth Ann and Thomas. Deaths of all still to find.
The J Sharples Giles was going to stay with was probably Joseph as he emigrated in 1896 and William Lord says he is going to his step-son on entry to the US.

I think this topic is now completed in the USA as he appears to have remarried in Derbyshire after the death of Josephine.
Thank you for all the help
