63 Catherine Street Limavady

In the 1831 Census my GGGrandfather William King Ferguson was living here.  How can I tell if he rented or owned this house?  If he owned it where would I find a record of that purchase?  If he was renting where would I find that record?  Also he died in 1839 where would I find a Will if he had one?

Glenys,
         The number 63 will have been the number allocated to the plot by the enumerator. At that time the houses in Limavady would not have been numbered. In 1858 there was a Joseph Ferguson in Catherine Street. He was renting a house, shop, yard with outbuildings and a small garden. His landlord was Edward Boyle,  a member of a  prominent family in Limavady.
        Wills at that time were probated by the local bishops office and are held in the courthouse in Londonderry.

Thank you very much for your kind reply.  Does this mean that the picture I have of the property at number 63 Catherine Street that was taken some years back may not have been the actual property that William King Ferguson lived in when the 1831 Census was done?

What is the best way for me to check records in the Courthouse in Londonderry to see if there is a will?
