Street
« on: Tuesday 07 June 05 08:16 BST (UK) »
I have a Henry Street of Stoke Golding marrying Ann Carter of Market Bosworth back in 1824 (25th January). Are there any records of other Streets who may be related to Henry in the area shown on susequent census records? Any information would be much appreciated. Also Henry Street's occupation is given as being that of a Miller but I have been unable to find any evidence of a Mill at Stoke Golding.
Henry and his wife moved to Coventry shortly after their marriage where Henry set up in business as a Baker in Jordan's Well.

Greeting's and Welcome.....

I've had a look on the 1841 Census for Stoke Golding
But didn't find any Street Families within the Village.
The Bakers were :-
Sarah Lawrence aged 75.
Thomas Bodycoat. aged 40.

The only Street Families on the 1851. Census
were in the village of Daddington which is the next Village going North.

I also had a look at the old map of Stoke Golding for 1891.
There is a Farm named " Mill Field Farm "
Going South from the centre of Village ......
Approx. 1/2 mile out on the "Wykin Lane".
The Farm is set in the fields
and lays half way between this lane and Higham Lane to your left.

Have you thought of  putting  this request on the Warwickshire section on this site ?

MIKE.
