Courtney family in Dundee in 1880's - descendants still around?
« on: Saturday 23 March 13 16:05 GMT (UK) »
A family of Americans are visiting Dundee in the summer of this year.  Has anyone researched the Courtney family in Dundee in the 1880's.   James Courtney married in 1881 Christina Lapen and one child was Andrina Smith Thomson Courtney.  Does that ring a bell in your own researches?  I know that the family would be thrilled if there were any descendants from that marriage and siblings of Andrina.  Thanks for your help.

Hi Alba11,

There is a family tree on ancestry which lists other children to this couple.

James Lapere Courtney 1884 Christina Courtney 1887  John Lapere Courtney 1887

Agnes Anderson Courtney 1889  and Joan Sim Courtney 1894

The more info that is found on here, increases the chances of a relative picking it up through google   ;)
