What is the Address?

Hi all

I am sure this is a simple one, but I just cant make out the street name.  Can anyone help?

I agree with Gadget  Whitecross Street. 

It is the old way of doing ss  a long s followed by what we consider a normal s  :)

Yes, the mark of Louisa Knope mother is what the first bit is (I know as it's from a birth certificate)!

43 Whitecross st is in the London Borough of Islington, looks like it is now part of the golden lane campus, and its about 2 mile from Whitechapel
