COMPLETED! Please help decipher Street Names in NY in 1905
« on: Sunday 24 March 13 23:48 GMT (UK) »
Hello,

I have here three possible brothers/cousins, who arrived in May 1905 to visit relations.

The first is visiting Hilko Lukowicz, but I cannot decipher the street name.

The second and third are for Michael and Jan, both going to the same location, relation Elias Lukowicz.  I cannot decipher the apartment number?  Post office?  Church?  Not sure what the EH and superscripted o  mean.  I included both entries in case one entry reads better than the other.

Thank you,

-Robin

Think  the second address  is 41st E(ast) no. 194     New York .   NY  as you   may  know  use a  grid system   with  Avenues running  north and  south  ,  and Streets  going east to  west

Ah, yes!  Now that you say that, I can see the No as the number.  Thank you!

The first one looks to me like:

193 Stanton Street New York

The second two addresses look like 4 St E(ast) to me - and geographically this is much closer to Stanton Street than 41st E.
Rowland - Hertfordshire, Nottinghamshire, Surrey
Head - Suffolk
Moir - Stirlingshire, Aberdeenshire
Christie - Perthshire
