David Roberts living in BlaenlliwUcha Llanuwchllyn
« on: Thursday 28 March 13 12:45 GMT (UK) »
hi, Im looking for David Roberts, born about 1825 in Llanfor/Llanfawr. I have him in BlaenLliwUcha on the Llanuwchllyn Census - 1871, and 1891.
He married Ann (born Llanuwchllyn 1830) He had 10 children, I have some names - Cadwaladr b1858, Worked on Hendreblaenlliw ffarm.
Daniel b1860, Evan b1863, Sarah b1867, Thomas b1869, William b1872 and Gomer b1874.

Do these ring a bell with anyone? or can anyone shed some light as to where David lived before these dates, or where they went after? Any info would be appreciated

Thanks in advance
Llanfor, Llandderfel, Llanycil, Llangywer, Llanuwchllyn, Cefnddwysarn.

These do indeed ring a bell! Ann, David's wife was the half-sister of my great-great grandmother. The descendants are very numerous in the Llanuwchllyn/Trawsfynydd/Bala area. In the 1861 census you will find the family at Stacros, Rhiwaedog Is Afon, they then moved to Llanuwchllyn as you state. If you need any further information I will be willing to share what I have.
