Was He Joseph BLADES Senr?
« on: Saturday 30 March 13 10:28 GMT (UK) »
Today I found the parish record of my 3 x great grandfather Joseph BLADES marriage. One of the witnesses is given as Joseph BLADES also, and following his name I think there is the word Senr, but I'm not sure.  I'd really appreciate another opinion or two please.

Hi Dee,

I'd read it as Senr = senior.

Thanks Nanny Jan.    :D

If this is the case, I'm back another generation on this line.

Hi Dee - I see it as Senr too. With a dot under the 'r'

Thanks Maggie.....I'm feeling very chuffed about this. Joseph Junior's father has been a brick wall for some time. And with the baptism at the right time in the same church, I also know his mother's name was Ann. Now for the parents' marriage!    ;D
