I am trying to more information on Henry Shore, born 1797 at Mere, ideally his parents or siblings.

Father to Edwin , Henry, John and William

5 Oct 1794. Henry Shore. Son. Parents John & Anne. Mere.
15 April 1796. Henry Shore. Son. parent John. Mere.

The 1796 Henry was likely the replacement child for the 1794 Henry:

Forgive my stupidity! While I was in the Mere batches at FS, I'd wandered off to look for my ancestral surname in Mere and it got stuck in my head and in your thread. ;)
