Trying to find where Green Lane, Wolverhampton was, parish St Johns church, around about 1862.

Good Afternoon,
Green lane was on the boundary with St George's parish.If you stand at the crossing by the Library at Snow Hill and walk down the road right of Wilkinsons southwards it splits into two.On the right is Dudley Road and the left is Green Lane.It's quite a long street running out of Wolverhampton with the original site of the football ground along it.

Would that road now be Birmingham Road, leading onto Thompson Avenue?

                Well what do you know, I was born in Derry Street between Birmingham New Road and Dudly Road. They have now changed the name but the house where I was born had the school right behind it.
This one is going to knock you socks off. My name Is Mr DOWNES I have been able to follow my family tree back to 1821. Most of my family were boat people who lived at 12, 14, Lower Horsely Fields.
