Would someone know what this Rank or Profession is they were married in the Portadown Church parish of Portadown and residence at time of marriage was Portadown, I thought it might have said ship builder ?.

I tried reducing it a little and maybe it is 'shop keeper'.    :)

I agree that the second word is 'keeper', but there is an 'i' in the first word, so I don't think it can be 'shop'.

I don't think it isn't an "i" , the dot I think is a mark on background paper, there is another below the signature. I definitely going with Shopkeeper.

Shopkeeper. I to think the dots are just random, the "h" is spread, misleading with the random dot.

No, I am wrong.  Shop Keeper looks a better bet although I do not understand the dot above what looks like an i -

or is it ship   something?  Suppose it all depends on the area the person lived in - hey ho
