Dating of photograph
« on: Sunday 14 April 13 09:58 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Please assist with the dating. I found this photograph among other late 1800 / early 1900 family photos.  It is in the form of a postcard.  I think it might be my father-in-law's sister, but if it is older it might be his mother.

Thank you

Kind Regards

The daters will ask to see the back of the postcard - even if there is nothing written on it - they can use the back for dating - so can you post that too?     ;)

They will also ask to see the full thing, right to the edges. If it's a postcard it won't be 1800's.

You guys are all so sweet! I tried to upload the back of the photograph, but am not having any luck, the system is just ignoring me!

Going by what Seoras said, I would assume it is a photograph of the young Maeve Courtenay circa abt 1912 (still searching for her birth record).

I will have no problem with a clean Little Red Riding Hood, should you feel she needs cleaning Wiggy! :D

phew!!    ;D ;D

Well - just removing the scratch over her face really - and a couple of others!!  it is pretty minimal, because she is in good order mainly isn't she.

Re back of photo - try giving it a new name - or adding a letter of number maybe - I don't really know but maybe!!
