Hi,

To get full details you would need to purchase the marriage certificate. This family research can get to be an expensive hobby, but enjoyable  :)

Did Martha remarry in 1848 to Henry Richard?

Hello JJ
Thank you for the very prompt reply
Yes Martha did and i have that certificate which states she was widowed, so trying to find her first husband, now i need to decide how much i really need this information because who ever this gentleman was he is not a blood relative to me.

Thank you again
Regards
:)

This marriage isn't at Bromley Parish Church, but Bromley dist on the BMD covers a lot of parishes, If you can narrow it down it might help, do you know where they were living?

Seaker

Just looked them up on the IGI it appears to be West Wickham Parish which would be St John. If I remember correctly the original records are still held at the church but I do know the Local Studies dept at Bromley Central library does has transcripts for this church on their shelves. They may also have copies of the original records on microfiche.
If you're not local I would suggest you give them a call (pref in the morning when they are usually less busy). I have always found the staff there very helpful and I believe they have a 15 min free of charge enquiry service. I think this is their direct line 020 8461 7170.

Best of luck

For the benefit of anyone else interested, the transcript at Bromley Local Studies says:

William full age bac lab s of William W lab Marr
Martha Turner full age spin d of Joseph T lab
Both this P

They indeed have the register images on CD, but I didn't ask to see them on the assumption Mum2minxes has already done so.
