All i have at the moment are Claudes aunts and uncles ,Arthur Taylor who is another mystery nothing on him.Then Esther who married a John Stanley in 1893.Salathiel who married Hannah Biddulph in 1897.And his grandparents  great aunts and uncles,

Claude had a brother Albert born 1897,sister Ivy born 1898 and Thomas born 1900. just says Nottingham

no, it would have to be a direct descendant so the links could be made searching the BMD Indexes.

Looking for Claude Taylor's marriage born 1894.His sister Ivy Blanch Taylor was married in Basford in 1918 dont know if thats a help.Have found a marriage for 1914 but  does not say who his wife is.
Is there another site i can try that will give me her name.

As Lostris said, there are numerous Claude Taylor marriages in the general area, any of which (or none of which) might be "yours",  so you will either need to send for certs or do a lot of parish record searching, to see if any have a father Thomas who is a slaughterman.

Or you can wait till 2021 and hopefully see him on 1921 census!!!!!

I wondered if any WW1 records would give us any more details about him, but I cant see him. If he did serve in the war then his records must be one of the many that were destroyed.

Another idea - do youknow when Dad Thomas died? If so, have a look for a will.

I never thought of that many thanks.I just thought if i could find the name of Claude married 1914 wife i may of been able to go that way.
