Hi All,

I had a great day at the Lanarkshire FHS day, think ti wasb very successful. Glad to meet Trystan and Sarah, Forfarian (Anne) and put faces to names. Met lots of RootsChat regulars too many to mention.

First time I had been on a "stand", it's hard work standing and talking all day, that's me qualified to get a job with the council now, although I didn't have a brush or shovel in my hand.

we were there today with the West Lothian Family History Society. Was really good meeting Sarah and Tristan, didn't realise they created Rootschat.

Great meeting other RootsChat folks and helping to promote such a wonderful site! Lang may yer lum reek.... in other words.....continued success to all concerned in whatever way they use the site.
Hope to see you all again somewhere in the not too distant future.

So glad I went along. The place was "fair buzzing" , obviously so many people are also very involved in chasing down the past.
Good to meet Tidybooks and sorry that Monica was not there, perhaps next time.
By the way Tidybooks I obviously did not appear the way you had imagined, but isn't that part of the joy of " rootschat".

I came away with a lot of info to be followed up in my own slow, very slow way.

Hope everybody had a great day. I know that the local societies felt it was a great feather in their cap that " Rootschat" chose to visit Motherwell.

Probably did see pcamgen on the WLFHS stand, where I spent a while admiring Tom's latest acquisition - the Craigmaillen registers.

Really enjoyed the day and great to see so many people of all ages enjoying themselves. The displays from the schoolchildren were great.
