Sumpters at Laxfield 1640s-1670s
« on: Saturday 27 April 13 20:19 BST (UK) »
Greetings, i am searching for any bmd information on Sumpter at Laxfield during the 1640s-1670s.  NRO mortgage information indicates Simon Sumpter, clerk, living at Laxfield as early as 1647.

Thank you for your time and efforts.
cheers,
ian

Hi Ian
I checked the Laxfield parish registers but could not see any reference to Sumpter at all in any register.
I checked Badingham register next and after my finds there, supposing Simon Sumpter left Badingham in 1644, I had a second look at Laxfield but could not still see any Sumpter entries 1644 onwards.  W. Adamson was the vicar at Laxfield in 1644 until at least 1657 and probably later.
