Dec 1874, Ulverston, 8e 1181 (to Mary Magdalene Dodgson )
Dec 1889, Warrington, 8c 257 (poss mar Sarah Ann Mallinson)
Dec 1893, Warrington, 8c 193 (info posted earlier)

This looks like them in 1881 in Wakefield, Yorks;
Walter WALKER, 28, Head, Mar, Licenced Victualler, born Middlestown
Mary Walker, 30, Wife, Mar, born Ulverstone, Lancashire
Henry Walker, 5, Son, born Barrow, Lancashire
James Walker, 4, Son, born Barrow
Mary E. Walker, 9mths, born Wakefield, Yorkshire    
Martha Walker, 16, Sister, born Wakefield

Mary E age 9mths must be Ethel from 1891 Census.

Mary must be Mary Magdalene DODGSON from 1874 Marriage Reg so if Sarah Ann was born c 1882 then Mary would be her Mother.

Death Reg Dec 1887;
WALKER, Mary Magdalen, age 36, Wakefield, 9c 36

1861 Census has a Walter Waker born c 1853 Middlestown, Yorks with Father HENRY c 1831 Middlestown.
Wife SARAH c 1833 and Siblings Sarah 1858 and Mary 1860

Trouble is Father Henry is not a Shoemaker but a Night Watchman.

But Marriage looks right so must be the correct Family above!

Hi Trish

Thanks for the info but I don't believe this can be correct Sarah Ann Walker.
I've no evidence she ever visited or lived in Warrington.
In the 1911 Census she is living in Hurst, Ashton Under Lyne, Lancs w her husband William Gaskill Heyworth who was b1875 Rochdale, Lancs & 3 children, all born in Hurst. I know they were married in Hurst in 1903. However, William was still living in Rochdale on the 1901 census. 2 years later they marry in Ashton Under Lyne & are living there without either having prior family connections there.
I am working off the assumption that either Sarah Ann travelled to Rochdale or William to wherever she was in Yorkshire first. Or that they both went to Ashton where they met and got married.
All very confusing I know

Fair enough Jason but she was the only Sarah Ann I could find that was living in Lancs in 1901.
I had looked at the 1911 where she is born c 1882 Rotherham, Yorks.

Good luck with the Cert and please let us know the details from it

Sarah Walker 13 yrs daughter born Rotherham. She is daughter of Calvert and Louisa. I wonder if her age is mixed up with younger sister, Laura.
I can't see them in 1891

It all becomes complicated-again 

1881, Calvert Walker is a lodger with Louisa Hawley in Rotherham.
1891, Louisa Hawley, widow, and children are in Oldham. There is a Sarah Ann Hawley, 9 yrs born Rotherham.
The other children match to 1901 Walker children. There is a Calvert Hawley so it looks fairly definite that it is the same family group- just no Calvert snr.

There is a son Fred, born 1890, Oldham. He is Hawley, in 1891 and Walker in 1901.
Lancashire BMD has this birth as Fred Walker, mother Hawley.

Possible Heywood as next Census Laura is born c 1888 Doncaster, a Servant, living away from Home.
