Hello
I think I may know the person who you contacted in Australia because that is probably the same person who told me that Martha was a daughter of Richard and Sarah, along with two children that I already had. As I said, I had not proved it, apart from tracing her in the censuses.
Yes, there are many Franklin families in that part of Berkshire, some related, some not.  My paternal Sellwood kin seem to be related/connected to many of them, including some who went to Australia.
I had kept Martha in my notes, just in case some evidence turned up to definitively connect her to one of my Franklin families, or prove whose daughter she was.
Sellwood Berkshire Oxon Lancs Wilts; Cassell Berkshire and Guildford; Leighs Guildford and London; Saunders Portsea, Greenwich and Deptford ; Austin Cookham; Osgood Berkshire; Dack Norfolk; Darling Berkshire and Mapledurham; Wilkins Englefield Berks; Havenhand Derbys; Whileman Derbys; Reedman Derbys, Notts, Australia, Africa; Rottenberry Deptford and Devon;

Victoria, many thanks for your interest.  I shall have to keep an open mind about Martha and hope that I finally resolve her parentage and find her baptism.  I'll bear Richard and Sarah Franklin in mind.
