Hi,
My interest in Nicola Cassinello is more in the context of 19th Century Photographic Studios, and I can confirm that Nicola had such a studio in Cork in the early 1860s, since I have a carte-de-visite taken in the said studio. If you would like to see a scan of the obverse and reverse of the cdv, please let me know.
Thanks,
Don

Hi Dadsarmy,

Okay, I'll scan the cdv this coming weekend, and make it available to you early next week. I'm very new to this website, so I'm not sure how to email you, or whether images can be uploaded here, but I'm sure there will be a way to get the scans to you.

Thanks,

Don

Hi,
I am excited to have found this website.  I have just started investigating my family tree and it seems that Antonio Scarpenti and Sarah Ann Cassinella were my great, great grandparents.  Their son, variously named Andrew, Dominick or Andreas was my great grandfather.  Does anyone have a birth certificate for him?  I am trying to make certain that they are the parents of my great grandfather.  I have copies of his marriage and death certificates.
I am hoping that someone might have copies of any information about  them.
Thanks.
I look forward to finding out more about this fascinating family.

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me.  No problem about the delay - life has a habit of getting in the way.  It would be great to compare notes.  Since I wrote the message to you,  I've had time  to construct a family tree and I think I've managed to get most of the Scarpenter family on it, although the younger generations are more difficult to find.
My family are descended from Dominic Andrew Scarpenti, who was Antonio's son born 1861 in Marseilles.  My grand father was his son, Frederick Alexander.  My name is Lorna and I'm currently living in Hampshire.

I have some documents that I've found on Ancestry along with a few birth, marriage and death certificates that were sent to my mum by a relative.
Looking forward to sharing information.
Best Wishes l
Lorna
