Hi All,

Well just found this site and thought I would leave a message. I am researching my Jolly family tree, which so far leads back to England ca.1690 Suffolk, believed Cowlinge.

Should anybody else be researching or run into Jolly Suffolk let me know, I know that there are several different jolly families in Suffolk which we "So Far have no links to" but who knows.

Will post here a short list of names for a quick check:

•   Mary Jolly, Born 1803 in Cowlinge, Suffolk, Daughter of John & Susanna Jolly

•   Sofia Jolly, Born 1802 in Suffolk, Daughter of Thomas & Mary Jolly

•   Ann Jolly, Born 1804 in Suffolk, Daughter of Thomas & Mary Jolly

•   George Jolly, Born 1806 in Suffolk, Son of Thomas & Mary Jolly

•   Charles Jolly, Born 1808 in Hundon, Suffolk, Son of William & ___ Jolly

•   Jane Jolly, Born 1796, Daughter of John & Sarah Jolly

•   Noah Jolley,Born 1791 in suffolk, Son of John & Sarah Jolly

•   John Jolly, Born:  Died 1930, Son of Noah & Sally Jolly

•   Henry Jolly, Son of Henry & Rebecca Jolly

•   John Jolly, Son of Henry & Rebecca Jolly

•   Sarah Jolly, Daughter of Henry & Rebecca Jolly

•   Elizabeth Jolly, Daughter of Henry & Rebecca Jolly

•   Thomas Jolly, Son of Henry & Rebecca Jolly
•   Alice King, Wife of Thomas Jolly

•   Elizabeth Jolly, Daughter of John & Sarah Jolly

•   Elizabeth Jolly, Daughter of William & Elizabeth Jolly

•   Elizabeth Jolly, Daughter of William & Elizabeth Jolly

•   Sarah Jolly, Daughter of William & Elizabeth Jolly

•   John Jolly, Son of William & Elizabeth Jolly

Will be making a trip to Suffolk next week for a look into the local archives, so I hope to find a bit more.

I am researching my family history and my last name is jolly.  I have a strong suspicion that i am related to the manse jolly that was a civil war veteran.  If any body has any information reguarding this please reply to this message or send me a personal message.  So far my father and i have tracked the family history to a Fletcher that lived in the mid 1800s.  any further information would be apreciated.

Dear Jolley

Think you must be thinking of a different John Jolly.

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply.  Manse Jolly is the name of a person who lived in Union County South Carolina.  Also, if anyone visits this post and knows or has a Lawrence Edward Jolly JR in their family tree or has run across the name in their studies please send me a personal message.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid I don't have my John Jolly's parents names - sorry.   It's a "jolly" big family isn't it!!!
