Donald Gunn b 1873 Edinburgh where did he go

Donald was the younger son of John Gordon Gunn and Rosetta ( Rose Bingham) . I have found him on census with his parents brother John William and sister Jessie.
John Sr was the owner of a hotel at St. Colme's Street.  After Rose died c 1885 John remarried and had more family with his wife Alice -- he died in 1905
John married Annie McGregor and had one daughter as far as I know Morag who married Edward N.
Blacklock  in Chelsea in 1945 .
There is only one Donald on 1911 census but unfortunately not him.

Not forgetting Rose and Mary in the 1891 census.   The 1901 census has a possibility with a name and occupation connection to another Gunn.     Worth looking into.

What is the last census you have Donald on? There is a Donald G Gunn in 1901, a 27 yr old shop assistant, living with his uncle Hugh and aunt Barbra in Farr, Sutherland. Is this your Donald?

Could there be any mention of Donald in his father's papers (not clear if they are will/inventories etc?) on SP?

John Gunn, 24/03/1906, otherwise John Gordon. Queen Hotel. St Colme Street, Edinburgh d.18/09/1905 in Edinburburgh - Testate. Two sets of documents showing (4/7pages).

Hi Monica,
             Very well thanks Monica and you?
Donald is not mentioned in his father's will .
The hotel is left to his other son John and his daughter Jessie because they had helped him run the hotel for many years.
John Jr. died at the hotel in 1957  and Jessie in 1935.
The last census I have been able to find Donald in is 1891 just after his mother Rose died and then after that he vanishes.
John Gunn Sr was born at Melvich in Sutherland c 1835 the son of Finlay and Jessie Gunn can't make a connection to the family you mention -- well not as yet.

ADDED   I've downloaded the will again and there it is Donald Gordon was left £250
and it also says he is staying at Ballingill Sutherlandshire with his uncle (John's brother ) Hugh James Gunn

Tried two marriages for Donald Gunn in Strathy  on SP unfortunately not him only one Donald G on 1911 census and he is a year old boy in Ayrshire.

There is a Donald G Gunn manifest entry:

Donald G Gunn, 36, Farmer. Arrived in Albany in 1909 on the 'Medic'. Destination port Adelaide.

A maybe? Can't find an earlier entry to try to confirm place of birth.

Looks promising Monica -- Donald was born 19th October 1873 in Edinburgh.
