According to the Kiwi index CD-ROM he was a retired farmer of Hamilton. His probate (including a will) is held by the Auckland office of Archives New Zealand although I can't see it on Archway.

But he certainly seems to be the only prospect.

Pcjr, you might want to approach the Hamilton and Morrinsville branches of the New Zealand Society of Genealogists to see if they have any information. The North Island list of Branches with contact information is here: http://www.genealogy.org.nz/North_Island_335.aspx

Another possibility.  There is also a tree on Ancestry for a James Clark and two on Mundia for a James Clark, the second one has him down as James William Clark. Died 20 June 1967 at Morrinsville, aged 56.  Born in NZ 26 Feb 1911. There is also a photo of him.

Parents names were William and Violet if it is any help to pcjr.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to get the Probate from Auckland Archives ... just to eliminate him from the list if need be.

:D  I would say James William Clark could be the possible candidate.
