Challenger & Cox family ancestors in Bath

This is a look up for the parents of Samuel Challenger born 10 Jun 1812 in Batheaston.

I am seeking more Information about his parents. Samuel CHALLENGER born about 1767.
(I have a note that he was baptised in St James Church Bath - I haven't found any entry on www.freereg.org.uk/.

Martha COX was baptised 18 Mar 1771 at All Saints, Weston, Bath.
Samuel and Martha married 22 Apr 1793 St James, Bath.

I believe that Martha COX parents were Daniell COX & Hanah Dinsly (Could be Dinsley; Densley etc.) They married 8 Apr 1765 at All Saints, Weston, Bath.

(Another case of name being written as spoken. )

There's another Chalenger marriage at St James's for Thomas 14/02/1791, widower to Ann Vinson, widow, witnesses Henry Spering, James Trimmel - not sure if he fits in anywhere?

Struggling with baptisms but here's a possible death for Samuel Sr : -

Samuel CHALLENGER buried 9 Apr 1825 age 55 St Swithin, Walcot

Your death information could be correct.

I have another one; 1q 1848 Bath 11 59 which would make Samuel about 78 when he died.
Not sure about him, have you more Details for that one?
