I don't think we're going to be able to find our relatives in the period of the fire unless there are other records about.
I think I may have a lee connection in tybroughton...

I have Lee links in Halghton  and have most of the Hanmer records. There's an interesting baptism for a Thomas Lee.

25 May 1766 Thomas son of Jane Lee of Halghton baptized. The supposed father ran away.

Thanks Gadget.I may have a strong hunch for who married Thomas Lee who I may have stumbled upon from looking for as usual, someone else of the same name who married a Charles Lea at Malpas in 1784.I was looking for a Mary Maddocks, but apparently there were two born in Hanmer in 1766!

7 March 1766 - d of William and Mary Maddocks of Willington
12 -do-  - d of Thomas and Elizabeth Maddocks of Willington

If it is a Mary Maddocks then my bet for the one who married Thomas is on the first baptism, given the name of the children - no Elizabeth!

The daughter Jane of Thomas and Mary could well point to the 1766 Thomas!
