Hi Rosie
I'm beginning to think that maybe this is a case of Mary Ann being called by her second name most of the time and not bothering to put her full name when she married or had her son christened. The 1851 census would probably have been filled in by Joseph being the head of the house and he did it properly. Joseph had a wife Ann in 1841 but was a widower by 1851 so maybe this is the Ann who died 1849. Thanks for checking this for me.

There is always this death that could be Joseph's wife, I see Sidmonds birth was the next quarter so it can't be Edmunds Ann

Hi Rosie
I had found this death and it's what was making me think that maybe the Edward was a widowed Edmund. Too many Anns.
