Military lookup at Kew
« on: Friday 10 June 05 12:42 BST (UK) »
If anyone is going to Kew and they have a spare half hour (ish). I would be grateful for a lookup for John Charters and/or Samuel McGrath. Both men would have likely served Pre WW1, anywhere between 1870 - 1890 and would likely to have served in Irish/Scottish infantry Likely regiments to be 78th, 87th or 89th  Regt of Foot.
Thanks
Bob
McGrath; Charters; Fenner; O'Hara; Carleton; Sloan; Tobergill Street; Cambria Street; Ghent Street

Hello Bob - What you are requesting is quite a 'big ask' - take it from one who has searched those boxes of Army Records it will probably need more than a spare half hour...

Here is a link to someone on this site who will do National Archives lookups
