Women in Industry after 1941
« on: Tuesday 21 May 13 14:05 BST (UK) »
I understand that after 1941 all adults of serving age were expected to join one of the forces or take a job to support the war effort, unless they had family commitments. Does anyone know if a woman opting to work in industry might be directed to move to another part of the country in order to do this? If so, how did this work?
