hi - thanks for all the research conducted - I'm guessing there are no burials in Brymbo but they must be somewhere in Wrexham itself - even more confused now as it led me to find a grandson of Charles who married in Brymbo! :-/

just had an email reply from Wrexham Cemetery

"I have looked through our records for the Wrexham Cemetery and unfortunately do not have a record for Mr Charles Vaughan"

It could just be that the  burial was not recorded in the cemetery register ?

It`s odd that it is noted as the first burial in the New Cemetery , and only the Ruabon Road one has a similar opening  date.

"No: 473 This was the first internment in the consicrated part of the cemetary"

Who was this one, have you found that in Wrexham Cemetery ?

Just a small point, number 473 was the first, Charles was 480, if you wish me to list 473 to 478 no problem

hi

i've had a message via ancestry today that states the burials for both took place in St Giles, Wrexham

they've added the page you mentioned with the notes in the margin - it's not very clear where the burial is except for Wrexham - so I suspect not in Brymbo as that website suggested - and I guess that's why he's not in Wrexham Cemetery records online or in the originals

phew that was hard going lol

thanks again for posting and getting the ball rolling ;-)

June 8th 1888.

It looks like Ruthin Road cemetery was still in use when Charles Vaughan died. He may be buried there, but there are no burial records , only MI transcriptions. If he had a headstone there`s a chance he is listed.
There is a copy at A N Palmer Centre, Wrexham .
