Hi

Elizabeth Gulielm b 1659 Gt Harwood my ancestor was married to William Alderman also b1659 in Gt Harwood - cannot trace back further on both

If anyone can help - esp re unusual name 'Gulielm and where it may come from

Gulielm is the latin for William, so I would assume she could also be known as Elizabeth William or Williams.

Also, I assume you mean Great HORWOOD, not Harwood, in Buckinghamshire.

Ask BucksFHS to do a baptism search for both, in Buckinghamshire.  £1 per search.

Yes, I see it's William  - thanks also for the info re Search

On the Ancestory search, Harwood not Horwood though I am assuming its the same

It will be Horwood not Harwood but its often useful to search for different spellings. Amazed you can get that far back!!
