All burial records for the London Borough of Greenwich (including cemeteries at Greenwich, Woolwich, Charlton and Plumstead) are digitised at www.deceasedonline.com, but John EGAN does not show in a free index search.

The Greenwich Infirmary admission & discharge register for 19 July 1900 (via Ancestry) shows that he was chargeable to St Paul (presumably Deptford), so you might want to try contacting Lewisham Cemeteries department for a search of their records, which you would have to pay for.

ADDED - I've just seen that his admission record to the Infirmary (from the workhouse) on 14 June 1900 shows that he was Roman Catholic, so you might have to look much further afield than local cemeteries. Have a read of Valda's Guide to Burials in the London Area.
