How to mark a request as "completed"
« on: Saturday 01 June 13 23:11 BST (UK) »
Hi,
To make Rick's job easier I like follow instructions and edit my subject when a lookup is completed. However the recent makeover of the site has removed the "modify" button from the original post. Is there a sneaky way we can get around this?

From what I understand you can now only modify for the first 24 hours, after that you need to ask a Mod to do it for you. I agree, it was much easier before just to be able to add completed.

That's a shame. It does make it harder for the moderators.
I don't think the developers always think of things like that.

Regards,

Sue

Hi Sue,

Just to give a bit of extra information on the reason it was changed, some users were going back into their posts, and changing details, which made subsequent posts look stupid. So the 24 hours was allowed to make spelling changes etc, after that can only be done by moderators.
