Hello 1pam,

Bridget moved quite a lot in a twenty year period. Was she with her parents in the places in Britain or did she leave home in her teens and, like many other Irish people, travel to Britain to look for work?

Hi Christopher
Bridget was sent to Cornwall (Truro) as an unmarried mother in 1945/46.
She later moved to London to work (where I was born in 1952)  and about 1956 was in Manchester in hospital with TB.
That is where the trail goes cold.
I do know is that she had a sister called Jean, and I think one other sister, but I don't know her name.
If you know the family or anyone knows her I would like to contact her.
Thanks
:)
