Hi getting confused so who is the John Haywood  b c 1851 Dudley with a wife Eliza in 1881 and with the children I have shown with Mary A in the 1891?

Is he the son of William b 1821 occ Butcher b Dudley, if so then I do not know who this Mary A was married to?

Sorry that I confused you. I think the John & Eliz in 1881, GR 11/2878 and the John & Mary in 1891 are the same John. I haven't found a death for Elizabeth, but it would have been after 1881 census.

I made the mistake of saying his son died in the war- the John that died in the war was his brother's Solomon's son.  Hope this corrects things. justweb

:) No problem, so the death in 1898 looks to be the John in 1881 and 1891, so just when did Elizabeth die and he marry Mary A?

Hi, a death of a John Haywood March qtr 1898 Dudley 6c 67 aged 46 looks the correct age for a birth c 1852/3?

Hi

This free site may help you with burials/cremations in the Dudley area...

http://www.dudley.gov.uk/resident/libraries-archives/local-history--heritage/genealogy-research-service/

You first have to agree to the disclaimer at the bottom of the page.  Then just type Haywood (there are lots) in surname box and submit, you can click on the grave number to see who is also buried in the same grave which is helpful.

Good luck
