Place of Birth on Canadian Passenger List
« on: Thursday 06 June 13 19:12 BST (UK) »
I cannot read where my grand uncle was born.  I see "Pau_sonka" Galacia, but that just does not look or 'read' correct.  I have also attached the place name where he said was his last residence in Galacia.  I decipher that name as Panasowka, Galacia.  Could it be that these two names are the same, just bad cursive handwriting?

Thank you,

-Robin

Hi

Definitely think they are one and the same, just bad handwriting.

I agree that it's the same place; I don't think the handwriting is that bad either.  Probably better than mine nowadays, particularly if in a hurry  ;D

I think it is Panasowka and a quick Google search says it is in the Province of Lublin. I didn't check any further for Country in case I was way off mark  ;D
