Threat to the Worcester History Centre and Record Office, The Trinity
« on: Saturday 11 June 05 07:00 BST (UK) »
An application has been made by a local publican for an entertainement licence covering the period 11:00 am until 11:00pm on Mondays to Saturdays, with different times on a Sunday, for the first floor of The Trinty in Worcester, that is above the History Centre.

It is planned that various entertainments for young people will be organised including discos, dances, demonstrations of martial arts etc.

Such activities are incompatible with the use made of the History Centre by the public in Worcester.

It is my view that this licence should not be granted by the local authority as the History centre is used by many for historical research and an atmosphere of relative calm and peace needs to be maintained.

If you feel that you want your voice to be heard and you object to the granting of the licence then put your objections, in writing, to:

Mr R Arnold
Environmental Services
Worcester City Council
Farrier House
Farrier Street
Worcester
WR1 3ES

and they must reach him BEFORE Wednesday 15th of June 2005.

Help to preserve the History Centre in its current form.  Write NOW!
