Sarah Owen, b Trefeglwys, 1822

I have a marriage certificate May 1845 of David Jones an Sarah Owen at Trefeglwys Church.
Have the census records 1841 to 1881, they show that she was born in Trefeglwys.
Father's name on the marriage is Richard Owen, Farmer.
Unable to trace her prior to marriage and not having any luck trying to find clues by following Richard Owen.
Can anyone help, please

If Sarah was married previously wouldn't her name be different than Owen in 1845?

I am looking for her prior to her marriage.
Trying to find information about her and her family.
I have been following the males in my family up to now. Have come to a stop on that so I started following the females. Have done quite well until Sara Owen, b 1823 Trefeglwys.
