Isle of Wight Family History Society (IWFHS)The society is for all those who want to trace their ancestors. Members include people who live on the Isle of Wight but whose families came from elsewhere as well as those with island ancestry who may live on the mainland or abroad.

Members also have access to Parish records, where available, of baptisms on the Island 1537-1837, marriages 1537-1837 and burial records 1537-1858 and access to members’ interests so that can contact other members who are researching surnames that they are interested in.
The society publishes a quarterly 64page A5 size journal in February, May, August and November which is issued free to members only either as a hard copy or downloaded from the website (password protected).
Annual subscription which is renewable on1 January each year:
UK member which can include 2 persons living at the same address both with equal voting rights = £12
(only 1 journal issued each quarter)
EU member which can include 2 persons living at the same address both with equal voting rights = £15
(only 1 journal issued each quarter)
Overseas member which can include 2 persons living at the same address both with equal voting rights = £20
(only 1 journal issued each quarter)
Members who are willing to
only download their journal from the website regardless of where they live = £6
