Hi There & welcome to the gang

If you can get a bit more to go on I will undertake to do a look up or 2 for you when Im on one of my holidays in Worcestershire as they last about 6 weeks when I pay a visit to the Hive (record office) at Worcester once each of those weeks to do my research but normally end up working for others.
Im not on the net at home but use library computers so you may only hear from me once a week on a SAT

All the very best

Phil

Hello philheeks,

Many thanks for your warm welcome and kind offer.

I have any number of loose ends and walls that I've found to break through.  Most I feel sure will only be beaten by searching through local records.  As you can see from the above others have done their best to help, but with my experience (in truth a lack of it) their willingness has been failed by me.

Most of the details given below have been gleaned either from Family Search (not the IGI bit - I still am battling with that) and Ancestry.

If you do have the opportunity, there is a direct line that is holding me back and it is that originally posted:

Samuel Andrews   Dob 07 Jul 1780 at Pershore, Worcestershire
Christening 12 Aug 1780 at Holy Cross, Pershore, Worcestershire
his wife Ann (no maiden name) and their marriage details.

I have been able to confirm five of their children:
James (b 1799), Edmund (b 1800), Samuel (b 1805), Catura (b 1806) and Mary (b 1811) and from what I am told (above) there are others but I've still not found them.

If it is of help I believe Samuels parents were James Andrews and Sarah but I have no other information on them either although they do appear to have had 11 Children:
Samuel (b 1771) Ann (b1773) Mary (b 1775) Martha (b 1778) Samuel (b 1780) Edmond (b 1782) William (b 1785) Robert (b 1787) Anne (b 1790) Susannah (b 1793) Josiah (b 1796).

Many thanks again for your kind offer, but please don't use a lot of your own holiday time on me; only do what you feel are the easy bits - they may well be hard by my standards anyway.  Or to put it another way, cherry pick what you want to do from the above.

As for response times, there is no problem as I have my maternal side to keep me well occupied (south east England) and both of my wife's parents.  I'm only glad I didn't start this when I was working as I can do without jobs of this complexity on top of work!!

Take care and have a pleasant break away.

Hi There

You may recall that I said I had Andrews on my tree, well I got a bit mixed up as my lot are at Severn Stoke & & the distant line I was mixing them up with are Davis at Pershore.  I have done a lot of research round that area but on my own surname & families that married into the Heeks line.
I will still do a few look ups for you when Im on holiday in August/September but will you please jog my mind nearer to the end of this month please so I dont let this slip my mind

All the very best

Phil

ps any look ups I do will be using micro film copies of the original registers held at the Hive in Worcester City
Worcestershire - Heeks, Maiden, Pinchin, Hartland, Tredwell, Holliday, Morton, Collins, Aldington, Saunders
Oxfordshire - Gomm, Hamblet, Austin, Winter,
Herefordshire - Lowe
Radnor - Lowe, Powell
Gloucestershire - Holliday, Pinchin

Hi Jondi

Ive made a note to put on my wish list for the Hive (record office)
Marriage of Samuel Andrews = Ann ________ c1801+

Bap Samuel Andrews 17 JUL 1780 possible parents James/sarah

baps for all the children of James/sarah that you have posted

Marriage of James Andrews = Sarah ________ c1769
all the above will be searched for in Pershore Holy Cross & Pershore St Andrew parish registers

I hope that I can find something out for you but if I dont it wont be for the want of trying as I look on look up requests as a challenge lol

Think nothing of it as Ive hit that many(----) brick walls in the past 19 years or so that I normally end up working for others when I go to ther Hive at Worcester & its mostly members of Rootschat that Ive ben in contact with over the years
