Hello philheeks,
Many thanks for your warm welcome and kind offer.
I have any number of loose ends and walls that I've found to break through. Most I feel sure will only be beaten by searching through local records. As you can see from the above others have done their best to help, but with my experience (in truth a lack of it) their willingness has been failed by me.
Most of the details given below have been gleaned either from Family Search (not the IGI bit - I still am battling with that) and Ancestry.
If you do have the opportunity, there is a direct line that is holding me back and it is that originally posted:
Samuel Andrews Dob 07 Jul 1780 at Pershore, Worcestershire
Christening 12 Aug 1780 at Holy Cross, Pershore, Worcestershire
his wife Ann (no maiden name) and their marriage details.
I have been able to confirm five of their children:
James (b 1799), Edmund (b 1800), Samuel (b 1805), Catura (b 1806) and Mary (b 1811) and from what I am told (above) there are others but I've still not found them.
If it is of help I believe Samuels parents were James Andrews and Sarah but I have no other information on them either although they do appear to have had 11 Children:
Samuel (b 1771) Ann (b1773) Mary (b 1775) Martha (b 1778) Samuel (b 1780) Edmond (b 1782) William (b 1785) Robert (b 1787) Anne (b 1790) Susannah (b 1793) Josiah (b 1796).
Many thanks again for your kind offer, but please don't use a lot of your own holiday time on me; only do what you feel are the easy bits - they may well be hard by my standards anyway. Or to put it another way, cherry pick what you want to do from the above.
As for response times, there is no problem as I have my maternal side to keep me well occupied (south east England) and both of my wife's parents. I'm only glad I didn't start this when I was working as I can do without jobs of this complexity on top of work!!
Take care and have a pleasant break away.
