Any idea what William Gorringe's occupation was?  Forgot to add on 1911 census he is listed as an Invalid.  So could it be 'Hoop something'  ie being taught basket weaving in hospital?

In 1891 he was a Hoop Shaver who plit saplings of hazel, chestnut, or ash and made them into wooden hoops for coopers.
